Description
Polispec NIR Agri Solution is the analytical platform designed to bring analysis directly into the process, transforming data into high-value information throughout the agricultural and livestock supply chain.

In its plot harvesting configuration, it extends this approach to research, breeding, and varietal testing, where data quality and speed are critical.

Integrated into plot harvesting machines, the platform enables automatic acquisition of analytical data for each individual plot, thanks to trigger systems synchronized with harvesting.

Results are immediately available, georeferenced, and archived in a structured manner, eliminating the delays and complexities associated with the traditional sampling-laboratory-results flow.

This allows for the efficient management of large volumes of experimental data, improving:

  • the speed of varietal selection programs
  • the quality and completeness of datasets
  • the reliability and repeatability of results

The Polispec platform uses the same NIR sensor on different plot harvesting machines—forage harvesters and combine harvesters—allowing for operation with a single instrument base on different matrices and trials.

Depending on experimental needs, the sensor can also be transferred from one machine to another.

To support experimental activities, the system can also be used in portable mode for specific field checks, maintaining continuity between spot surveys and systematic data acquisition.

The system is used in stand-alone mode and managed via a tablet, which integrates both the user interface and system management. Data acquisition is synchronized with harvesting through a trigger that identifies the start and end of each plot.

This solution simplifies installation and use in the field, as it does not require integration with machine control systems. The device is supplied with the instrument, but can also be adapted to existing systems.

In this mode, the system does not use a dedicated user interface, but sends data directly to external devices or platforms for management and archiving.

It is recommended when integration with existing data acquisition infrastructures is required, maintaining continuity with existing information flows.

Configurations

The machine-installed system can also be configured for portable use using a dedicated kit, allowing analyses to be performed directly in the field or on raw materials.

The kit includes a tablet, wireless connectivity, batteries and a charging system, as well as an adapter plate for portable use of the instrument. Polidata software and licenses for specific calibration curves are also included.

This configuration allows the same instrument to be used in different contexts—from the machine to the field—ensuring analytical continuity and greater operational flexibility.

Each Polispec Agri Solution application integrates dedicated software modules, designed to adapt to the specific operational context and simplify instrument use.

Polidata and Poliprocess, with their Agri configurations, make NIR data immediately accessible and usable, through intuitive interfaces designed for field and machine operations.

From real-time visualization on on-board terminals (ISOBUS) to structured data management and archiving, the software supports the entire process—from measurement to decision.

Poliprocess is the software module designed for integrating the Polispec system into agricultural machinery and processing plants. It fully manages the acquisition, processing, and contextualization of NIR data during operations.

The software is compatible with CANBUS and ISOBUS architectures and uses a dedicated application on an ISOBUS terminal (VT) as a user interface, allowing direct control of the system from the cab.
